Dr. Warren Phillips has been creating beautiful smiles since 2001. He completed all of his education at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, earning a Bachelor of Science degree, Doctorate of Dental Surgery, Master of Science degree and Certificate of Orthodontics. Dr. Phillips was accepted into dental school one year early and skipped his senior year of college. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery with distinction – graduating in the top 5% of his dental class of 78 people.
Dr. Phillips is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction that less than 50 percent of American orthodontists achieve. To attain this level of recognition, Dr. Phillips had to pass a series of difficult, thorough written and oral examinations. He also submitted case studies of patients he has successfully treated. The entire certification process typically takes anywhere from 5 to 10 years. He is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists.
In giving back to the community, Dr. Phillips volunteers with Mission of Mercy and attends Wrightsville United Methodist Church. Dr. Phillips also participates in athletic fundraisers, such as the Beach2Battleship Marathon and the Quintiles Marathon. He competes in triathlons and is an Ironman triathlon finisher. He also enjoys scuba diving, spear fishing, hunting, reading and traveling.
